How long can a baby (6 months) sit in a car-seat for babies?
How long is it recommended to drive with a baby in a car? we have a baby-seat bút the doctor said that babies’ back muscles are not yet developed for sitting more than 10 minutes; does it mean no holidays by car? actually our plan involves a 5 -hour drive with breaks, but nevertheless he would sit 5 hours in this seat
I assume this is a rear-facing infant car seat? Doctors will tell you what they think is best, but it ultimately comes down to the baby. When my daughter was 2 months old, we took a 6 hour trip and she did fine. When she was 6 months old we drove up to visit my parents, so she spent 21 hours in her car seat. She napped and had her bottle right in the seat and was happy as a clam. It all depends on the baby.
