Britax Boulevard Click & Safe Convertible Car Seat – Davenport ?

Does any one have this car seat? Do you like it??? Does anyone have a Toyota Corolla… does it fit???

I don’t have this carseat because I chose the Marathon over it. I did research them both quite a bit though. I was undecided until a fellow shopper told me that they are basically the same seat frame, and that the extra price is for some extra pillows which don’t necessarily provide extra protection – just make the seat plusher. This is great and the seat looks very comfy, but it can hinder the view out the window for baby. I plopped my baby in the demo seat at BabysRUs and sure enough, he started to strain to look around the “wings” (upper head pillow). The extra pillows can also get very hot. I’m not sure about the Davenport but one of the click and safe models is a gray color with two different fabrics. One of the fabrics has sort of a diamond pattern to it and I’ve heard from other mothers that this is very scratchy material and wish they had purchased the cover with the velour-type fabric like “cowmooflage”. As for the clicking gadget, I’m all for anything that makes baby safer, but I didn’t really feel that it was worth the extra $50-70 difference between the Marathon and the Boulevard. And baby feels VERY secure in the Marathon. The dimensions are pretty much the same for both carseats and I drive a Nissan Altima which is comparable to a Carolla and my Marathon looked huge out of the box but fit just fine in the back seat. Anyway, you can’t go wrong with a Britax – I love mine! So does baby!
